Do saving projects really have to be paid?

Hello, I’ve found out about this website through a YouTube video, and I thought I’d try it out. I saw some interesting features that I hadn’t seen in any other Scratch Mod (like, for example, being able to code in HTML and Arduino using blocks), but then, when I was going to save a project, I found out it only lets you save a project once before forcing you to pay for a subscription. I can see potential in this, but perhaps it would be a better idea to make it so you don’t have to pay just to save a project, and if it really is necessary to charge money to save, at least make it like “_____ saves left this month” or something similar. Thanks!

We will work on allowing free saves, currently still trying various things to make the business work out for us, as this has taken 5 years of development. Unlike other software, we don’t just support some custom hardware, but the goal is anyone anywhere can choose whatever board they have to learn programming with CodeSkool. Any anyone should be able to use any extension and learn without paying up anything. We only charge when someone shares or make a copy of the project.
Your small contribution, can help us to make courses, newer low cost boards, and improve over AI & Robotics extension with more extensions, especially for game development.
Also the youtube video uses a 2-3 years old software, you can try the more advanced version at: https://dev.codeskool.cc/
